Two <br />days after the bid opening, Sandoval & Johnson Construction requested to <br />be relieved of their bid, stating that they had made a clerical error in <br />filling out the bid. After examining Sandoval & Johnson Construction's <br />bid and other documents, staff has found sufficient grounds for the <br />relief of their bid, and therefore recommends that Sandoval & Johnson <br />Construction's request be granted. The lowest responsive bid was <br />submitted by J. Desigio Construction for $323,050, which is below the <br />Engineer's estimate of $400,000. <br />$NVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />recommended action is exempt from further review.
