REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />~~. <br />.~:. <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />FEBRUARY 2, 2009 <br />TITLE: <br />VARIANCE NO. 2008-21 FOR A LANDSCAPE <br />REDUCTION AND MODIFICATION TO <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 1964-172 TO <br />ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTI- <br />PURPOSE BUILDING AT 1021 NORTH NEWHOPE <br />STREET - POOR CLARE MISSIONARY <br />SISTERS, INC., APPLICANT <br />'"~ <br />~ ~~ ~ <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1 S' Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Receive and file the staff report approving Variance No. 2008-21 as <br />conditioned and modification to Conditional Use Permit No. 1964-172 as <br />conditioned. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />On January 12, 2009, the Planning Commission adopted a resolution <br />approving Variance No. 2008-21 as conditioned and adopted a resolution <br />approving modification to Conditional Use Permit No. 1964-172 as <br />conditioned by a vote of 7:0 to allow the construction of a multi-purpose <br />building at 1021 North Newhope Street in the Single-Family Residential <br />(R1) zoning district.
