RESOLUTION NO. 2009- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO <br />EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC <br />CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO <br />AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO ADD, DELETE <br />AND REALLOCATE POSITIONS IN THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT AGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 82-110, revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br />C. On June 17, 2008, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. <br />NS-2768, which established the City's Annual Budget, authorized position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2008-2009, and set forth the requirement that <br />alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and <br />approved by the City Council. <br />D. In order to continue to provide efficient and effective services with <br />diminished resources, the Deputy City Manager for Development Services <br />proposes one (1) salary adjustment to more accurately reflect the duties <br />and responsibilities of the classification, and to add one (1) position, delete <br />two (2) positions, and reallocate two (2) positions in the current Annual <br />Budget. <br />Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by providing a salary adjustment to the following classification title, <br />assigned to a six-step salary rate range, in the Community Development Agency: <br />6-Step Salary Rate Range (SRR) Effective 2/02/09 <br />From Monthly Salary To Monthly Salary <br />Classification Title SRR Min-Max SRR Min-Max <br />Housing Authority Coordinator 698 $6291 - $8029* 718 $6937-$8853* <br />55C-3 <br />
