Description of Project: <br />The City of Santa Ana is proposing to construct a new sewer lift station, to be located at the <br />west end of San Lorenzo Avenue just east of Bristol Street. The proposed sewer lift station <br />would replace an existing lift station located beneath Bristol Street approximately 700 feet to <br />the west. During construction of the proposed lift station, the existing lift station would <br />remain in operation. The new lift station would not increase the capacity of the existing <br />sewer system in the vicinity. The new lift station is proposed to update the equipment and <br />to provide additional redundancies in order to reduce the chance for a sewer spill. <br />Upgrades to the current sewer lift station are necessary because the redundancies <br />associated with the existing lift station are inadequate in that two pumps are frequently <br />Page 3 of 64 <br />75E-7 <br />
