<br />2/09109155 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-015 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS FROM THE PROJECT T PROGRAM FOR <br />THE SANTA ANA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION <br />CENTER MASTER PLAN PROJECT <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a call for <br />applications for projects through the Renewed Measure M - Project T <br />Program (Program), providing funding to convert Metrolink stations into <br />regional gateways for enhanced operations related to high-speed rail <br />service; and <br /> <br />B. Funding is available on a competitive basis for projects including the <br />modification of existing station and passenger facilities necessary to <br />support a high-speed rail system; and <br /> <br />C. Project T funding would allow the City of Santa Ana to develop a Concept <br />Master Site Plan, creating a comprehensive vision for converting the <br />Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC) to a multi-modal <br />transportation center. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana authorizes the <br />submission of an application for Project T funding in the amount of $4,000,000 for <br />development of the SARTC Master Site Plan and completion of environmental <br />documents. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Council appoints the City Manager, or the Executive <br />Director of the Public Works Agency or his designee, as agent for the City of Santa Ana <br />to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents, including but not limited <br />to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be <br />necessary for the completion of the project. <br /> <br />Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2009-015 <br />Page 1 012 <br />
