This program has been developed and made available <br />to kindergarten through high school grades through a contract with the <br />Municipal Water District of Orange County. <br />The program consists of visits to the schools to give presentations, <br />complete with visual aids and handouts. The program has been recognized <br />for excellence, well received by the schools in Santa Ana, and is a <br />recognized component on the list of best management practices for <br />ensuring acceptable levels of water conservation. <br />On November 17, 2008, the City <br />that provides $30,000 for a <br />program, with the option to <br />accounting errors that have <br />current year funding was requi <br />prior year. This would allow <br />current year program. <br />Council approved an agreement with MWDOC <br />one year period for funding of this <br />extend for a second year. Due to <br />since been corrected, $22,000 of the <br />red to pay for services rendered in the <br />for only $8, 000 to be used to fund the <br />Staff recommends that funding for the current year program be increased <br />to $52,000 to continue providing conservation education at the existing <br />25D-1 <br />
