REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />MARCH 2, 2009 <br />TITLE: <br />AGREEMENTS FOR ON-CALL LANDSCAPE <br />ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 15~ Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />,, <br />,--, <br />~. ,ter` c c ~----.____ - <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute the <br />attached agreements with Tatsumi and Partners, RJM Design Group, Inc., and <br />Lynn Capouya, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney, to provide landscape architectural services for <br />the not to exceed amount of $300,000 for each firm. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Staff has solicited proposals for landscape architectural services. These <br />services are required to augment City staff to complete the design of <br />parks, facility, streetscapes, and specialty improvement projects in a <br />timely manner. <br />Nine qualified firms were contacted and seven firms submitted proposals. <br />These proposals were reviewed by a review committee comprised of personnel <br />from Public Works and Parks and Recreation agencies. <br />The ratings for all seven firms are as follows: <br />FIRM <br />RATING <br />1.
