compliance with this chapter. <br />(2) The applicant has furnished an acceptable diploma or certificate of <br />graduation from a "recognized school" ^r ~^ ~~^~ ~ }hero^f h-. <br />skFa~eF", or is an active member in good standing in the pia <br />American Massage and <br />Therapy Association (AMTA). <br />(3) Proof of certification of passage of the required City of Santa <br />Ana test. <br />(4) The applicant must provide a valid and current CPR certificate <br />issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart <br />Association. <br />(5) The applicant has not had a massage establishment permit or a <br />massage technician's permit or other similar license or permit <br />denied or revoked for cause by this city or any other city located in <br />or out of this state within +h° ften (10) years prior to the date <br />of application. <br />(46) The applicant eis at least eighteen (18) years of age. <br />(f) Any person denied a permit by the city manager pursuant to these <br />provisions may appeal to the city council pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code. <br />(g) It shall be the responsibility of any permit holder to notify the <br />City of his or her home address, as well as the address of any business <br />establishment where he or she regularly works as a massage technician, <br />whether as an employee or as an independent contractor. A permit holder <br />shall notify the City within thirty (30) days of changing either his or her <br />home address or the address of the massage establishment where he or <br />she regularly works as a massage technician. <br />Section 9. Section 22-5.1 is added to Chapter 22 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code to read in full as follows: <br />Sec. 22-5.1. Massage technician permit -renewal. <br />(a) Applications for the renewal of a permit shall be filed with the Chief <br />of Police at least sixty (60) calendar days before the expiration of the current <br />Ordinance No. NS-XXX <br />Page 12 of 36 <br />11A-12 <br />
