ensure compliance. Any violation or failure to comply with any of the <br />requirements of this Chapter shall be deemed a nuisance. <br />Section 12. Section 41-2080 (Definitions) of Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 41-2080 - Definitions <br />(a) The words and phrases, shall be construed as defined in this Article, unless from <br />the context a different meaning is intended or unless a different meaning is <br />specifically defined and more particularly directed to the use of such words or <br />phrases. The words used in the present tense include the future tense, and words <br />in the singular number include the plural number. If any of the definitions in this <br />section conflict with definitions in Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />(SAMC), these definitions shall control for the purposes of this Article. If any term <br />herein is not defined by this subsection. the definitions contained within Division 2 <br />(Definitions) of Article I of Chapter 41 of the SAMC shall apply. <br />(1) Access (Direct): The physical pedestrian entrance to a unit that is provided directly <br />from the street or courtyard. Also described as walk-up access. <br />Access (Point): The physical pedestrian entrance to a unit that is provided through <br />a common space, such as a lobby or corridor that connects directly to the street or <br />courtyard. Also described as non -walk-up access. <br />Accessory Structure: An accessory structure or building is a detached building or <br />structure, or part of a building or structure, which is incidental or subordinate to the <br />main building, structure or use on the same lot or parcel of land, without cooking <br />facilities (e.g., storage shed, garage, gazebo), and is used exclusively by the <br />occupant of the main building. <br />Alley: An alley is any public or private thoroughfare for the use of pedestrians or <br />vehicles, not less than ten (10) feet nor more than thirty (30) feet in width, and is <br />intended for service and only a secondary means of access to abutting properties. <br />Arcade: see `Frontage Types' <br />(6) Artisan/craft product man„faGtUrOg - limited on -site production: The mangy ifaGt Uring <br />ef produGts primarily by hand by persons trained 'R an aFtiStiG skill, <br />Gor ? ttglass hlewing, „r SG Ipt iroo A specialized commercial facility <br />with a retail -facing operation open to the public.
