<br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
<br />the Clerk of the Council to execute sales agreements with the Community
<br />Redevelopment Agency and escrow instructions for the sale of real
<br />property located at 217 and 219 S. Birch, 715-719 N. Concord, 616 E. Stn,
<br />826 Lacy, 612, 614, 622, 714, 626-628, 809, 809 E. Santa Ana Blvd., 630
<br />N. Garfield, and 604 Lacy.

<br />Authorize the Executive Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency
<br />to execute purchase agreements and escrow instructions for the
<br />acquisition of real property from the City of Santa Ana located at 217
<br />and 219 S. Birch, 715-719 N. Concord, 616 E. 5th, 826 Lacy, 612, 614,
<br />622, 714, 626-628, 809, 809 E. Santa Ana Blvd., 630 N. Garfield, and
<br />604 Lacy for $2,358,000, plus normal closing costs and escrow fees.
<br />DISCUSSION
<br />During the course of its regular activities, the City has acquired a
<br />number of properties suitable for residential development. Under the
<br />proposed purchase agreements, the surplus City-owned properties located
<br />at 217 and 219 S. Birch, 715-719 N. Concord, 616 E. 5th, 826 Lacy, 612,
<br />614, 622, 714, 626-628, 809, 809% E. Santa Ana Blvd., 630 N. Garfield,
