The Community <br />Development Agency is responsible for the maintenance of the downtown 2nd <br />Street Mall fountain. Maintenance includes vacuuming and cleaning of <br />aquatic facilities, checking pump motors and sand filters to assure they <br />are properly operating, and monitoring aquatic chemical levels to assure <br />safe and healthy water conditions. <br />The two-year base agreement with Deckside has expired and this amendment <br />will exercise the first of three one-year options. In addition, this <br />amendment will add the Second Street Mall Fountain to Deckside's scope of <br />service. <br />The following is a cost breakdown of the $84,450 base agreement amount. <br />Aquatic Facility Period Cost <br />Civic Center Fountains <br />(existing contract) One-year $83,250 <br />Second Street Mall Fountain Six months $1,200 <br />Total $84,450 <br />25E-1 <br />
