Third Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated Plan 2008 -2009 Action Plan for the <br />Community Development Block Grant Recovery Program (CDBG -R) <br />2009. To achieve this goal the City would need to use 50 percent of the funds by June 17, 2009. <br />Due to the processes and procedures involved with obligating funds for infrastructure projects the <br />City will not be able to obligate 50 percent of the funds before the June 17, 2009 milestone date, <br />although, the City will obligate the funds in 120 days from the date of the agreement between the <br />City and HUD as stated earlier <br />Maximizing Job Creation and Economic Benefit <br />Under this activity the city is estimating that 35 construction jobs will be created or retained. <br />Addressing Intent of the Recovery Act <br />This activity aims to invest in infrastructure and energy effic <br />economic benefit.
