• • <br />Construction Administration Services: <br />General <br />Assist the City in the bidding and selection of an overall Project or Construction Manager andlor <br />General Contractor. <br />Construction Observation: <br />In addition to the Construction Adminislration duties indicated below, during the construction <br />periods indicated above, the Architect shad make bi-monthly visits to the site during the <br />construction of the project, to familiarize themselves generally with the progress and quality of the <br />Work and to determine in general if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the contract <br />documents and the general conditions of the contract. <br />The Architect will provide assistance to the contractor, his superintendent and subcontractors as is <br />reasonably required to explain or interpret the drawings. <br />Shop Drawings and Submittal Review: <br />The Architect and Client's selected general contractor shall review and take appropriate action on <br />shop drawings, product data, samples, and other submittals required by the construction <br />documents. <br />Addendums, Bulletins and Change Orders: <br />The Architect shall prepare Addendums prior to the construction contract award and Bulletins after <br />the construction contract is awarded or construction has commenced. Addendums and Bulletins <br />will provide the contractor with information relating to clarification, documentation of field changes, <br />detail changes and Client changes. The Architect shall review and respond to Change Orders <br />submitted by the general contractor. <br />Request for information {BFI's} <br />The Architect shall review and respond to requests for information or clarification submitted by the <br />general contractor. BFI's resulting in a change to the contractors contract shall be issued as an <br />Addondum or a Bulletin. <br />2. payment for Additional Services: in accordance with Paragraph 2, subparagraph a., Architect shall be <br />compensated for these additional services hourly in accordance with the original contract wilh the total sum to be <br />expended under ibis revised Agreement to be increased by Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) for a revised not <br />to exceed amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000). <br />iN WITNESS WHEREOF,arties hereto have executed this Amendment the date and year first written above. <br />STEVEN GAFFN~A~}L`HITECTURE, INC CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />Principal <br />AIA, LEED AP Name <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />~'x, ~ <br />
