The Community Development Agency also requires the service of <br />weed abatement to maintain vacant City-owned properties. Removing the <br />weeds and debris of both public and private properties enhances the safety <br />and visual appearance of the city. <br />On September 5, 2006, the City Council awarded a contract to Naranjo <br />Landscaping for a one-year period with provision for three, one-year <br />renewals. The vendor has performed satisfactorily during the past <br />contract period and has agreed to renew the contract without an increase <br />in pricing. Staff recommends the final renewal of the contract. <br />22B-1 <br />
