CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1s1 Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Adopt an ordinance adding Article IV to Chapter 10 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code relating to antigraffiti measures. <br />DlseUSS=ON <br />At the July 20th City Council Study Session, the Graffiti Task Force <br />presented the proposed ordinance for review and discussion. The <br />ordinance will consolidate all antigraffiti-related measures into one <br />Article of the Municipal Code. The proposed additions will give the <br />Graffiti Task Force additional tools related to parental <br />responsibility, cost recovery provisions, possession of graffiti <br />implements and establishment of a trust fund. <br />Revised standards for retrofitting existing properties to deter <br />graffiti have been referred to the Planning Commission which will make <br />recommendations to the City Council. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />A categorical exemption has been approved. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Therejis no fisc~impact associated with this action. <br />es G.
