FY08 Emergency Management Performance Grant Exhibit B of ASR <br />Performance Report <br />Jurisdiction: Narnia County OES ID# 123-00000 Date of report: 07/05/08 <br />Summary of Activities: <br />The Narnia Operational Area has continued to move forward with our preparedness and response activities. <br />Training has been provided to local partners in shelter management, SEMS, ICS, NIMS, and HazMat refresher. <br />Local EMC has met quarterly as needed. Upgrades to EOC equipment has progressed. State OES Rep has <br />visited monthly. Progress continues in planning for sheltering and evacuation of vulnerable local populations. <br />Planning continues for spring/summer exercise. <br />Activity: SEMSMIMS 700 Training <br />Status: Training continues for local partners. <br />ICS/SEMS/NIMS courses have been provided to local partners on 2/15-16/OS and 2/21-22/08. <br />Activity: Shelter Management Training <br />Status: Training continues for local partners. ARC Shelter management classes have trained 150 locals. <br />Activity: Planning for vulnerable populations <br />Status: Local planning continues with P.H., Co. Fire, S.O., CERT Leaders, County Wide Neighborhood <br />Watch, and local Home Health Agencies. Progress is slow, but we are working through all the perceived legal <br />issues. <br />Activity: Multi-casualty exercise <br />Status: Planning meetings for this years local exercise are continuing. Co. Fire has taken the lead role and all <br />of the exercise design group are committed to having it ready for Mid-June. Exercise this year is a Multi- <br />Casualty Incident on t-5 midway between Yreka and Mt. Shasta with patients transported to both facilities as <br />well as air-lifrs to Trauma Centers North and South. <br />Issues affecting completion or outcome: Only issue at this time will be Fire Season Starts and/or <br />deployments.
