A-2007-183-01 <br />INSURANCE NOT REQUIRED <br />~ WORK MAY PROCEED <br />CLERK OF ~~OUNCIL <br />DATE: ~~1N ~ ~ 2009 <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR <br />PROVISION OF ANIMAL CARE SERVICES <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into on May 4, 2009, by and <br />~/i ~ between the County of Orange ("COUNTY") and the City of Santa Ana ("CITY"). <br />f I RECITALS: <br />~° <br />v l.J <br />~ ~''~ A. The parties entered into that certain Agreement A-2007-183, dated July 1, 2007, <br />N ~' ~ (hereinafter "said Agreement") by which COUNTY provided animal care services. <br />l <br />w o ~ B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the term <br />~' ~ automatically extended six months. <br />C. During the extended term of said Agreement, COUNTY charges exceeded the <br />estimated City payments for the initial one-year period. <br />D. The CITY desires to authorize payment to COUNTY for services provided during the <br />extended term of said Agreement. <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First <br />Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Total compensation to be paid for COUNTY services during the eighteen month term of <br />said Agreement shall be increased by $20,698, for a total amount of $655,769.00. <br />2.
