Based upon our conversation, past <br />experiences on similar projects with the City and their requirements, we have identified the following areas to be <br />included in our Scope of Services: <br />1. 2,500 square feet of landscape area at the Zoo Entrance <br />Our efforts will be directed towards design, construction documentation and field observation for irrigation and <br />planting. Hardscape, Site furnishings /amenities, landscape lighting design and signage are not included in the <br />scope. The work effort is on- grade. We have identified the following tasks, to include in our Scope of Services: <br />TASK 1 — Field Investigation /Research /Schematic Design: <br />1.01 Site Issues /Field Investigation — Investigate /evaluate existing site conditions /elements including existing <br />landscape, grading /drainage conditions, existing irrigation equipment, utilities, etc. Review pertinent Site <br />Information i.e. topography, street improvement plans, utility easement and right of ways, traffic studies <br />and specific and general plan requirements <br />1.02 Site Planning and Programming — Coordinate with Project Team to review /evaluate planning needs and <br />programming requirements. Assist the Project Team in evaluating and coordination, potential irrigation <br />systems, points of connections, potential grading /drainage issues, circulation, utility conflicts, and lighting <br />and visual /sound considerations <br />1.03 Attend a kickoff meeting to review CLIENT goals and objectives and key personnel within the Team and <br />define milestones within the project <br />1.04 Review Soils Fertility Report to identify potential soils problems and recommended corrective practices <br />and soils amendments <br />1.05 Review CLIENT and CITY standards and requirements in developing goals and objectives to preparing a <br />cohesive landscape design <br />1.06 Conceptual Design Plan (Scale: 1 " =20') — Prepare a color- rendered illustrative Conceptual Landscape <br />Plan including Tree, Shrub, Ground Cover areas and plant photos <br />1.07 Prepare Narrative Description of Landscape Concept <br />
