At the time ofthe.
interviews, there were ~5 `ad~?lts and- 1~ children (T? years: nr younger} on-site for a total
project-occupancy of 38 persons.
-The project households currently:oceupy six apartment.units-(three:stuclios and filiree,two-
bedro4rn units) aiid; one foul-bedroom single-family residence. The commonly accepted
standard for .housing density, and the Agency's approved.policy, :allows two persons per
bedroom and -one person in :the common living area. Based on this criterion and.available
tenant data, there -appears to be three overcrowded units among the project Irouseliolds.
2. RepIacetttent ~ousirig I~TeetlS
Replacement housing needs, as ;expressed in Phis-.plan;. are defined by the total number of
rewired replacement units ana distribution of those units by bech~ooin size. 'The projected
number of requzred units by bedroom size is- calculated by comparing survey data for
household size with typical replacement Housing occupancy standards. These standards,
generally, allow for up to theee persons in. none-bedroom unit, f ~e persons in a two-
bedroom unit,.seven persons in:a three-bedroom unit oriel nine or more pei:sons in a four
bedroom unit.
Replacement units required: for the Project occupants include: two studios, one one-
bedroozrz unit, one two-bedroom unit, two tbxee-bedroom units and one: four-bedroom
unit..
3
55D-8
