REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />SEPTEMBER 21, 2009 <br />TITLE: <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT ACCEPTING <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE, FAMILIES AND <br />COMMUNITIES TOGETHER FUNDS <br />c <br />CI MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 15` Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing $33,651 in the County of <br />Orange, Families and Communities Together program revenue account (no. <br />16913002-52001) and appropriating same to the Families and Communities <br />Together program expenditure account (no. 16913211-various). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Families and Communities Together (FaCT) Program, which operates out <br />of the Corbin Family Resource Center, provides services promoting safe <br />and stable families to at-risk-youth and families with children ages <br />birth through 18 years. The FaCT Program is funded by the Children's <br />Bureau of Southern California, a non-profit organization. The County of <br />Orange, designated as the lead agency to administer the program, has been <br />allocated a total of $205,235 for FY 2009-10 to fund the Corbin Family <br />Resource Center. As a partner agency, the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Agency will receive $33,651 of the total amount <br />allocated to provide information and referral services for the community <br />and clients attending programs at Corbin. Other partner agencies include <br />Olive Crest Treatment Centers, Children's Bureau and Human Options. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will enhance the County of Orange, Families <br />and Communities Together program revenue account (no. 16913002-52001) and <br />Families and Communities Together program expenditure account (no. <br />16913211-various) by $33,651. <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Gerardo Mouet Francisco Gutierrez ~,-p, <br />Executive Director Executive Director V"~ <br />Parks, Recreation and Com.
