FOR REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL <br />SERVICES <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 15t Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />.®-^- <br />CI MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute a <br />second amendment to the agreement with Lidgard and Associates, Inc. to <br />conduct real estate appraisal services in the amount of $200,000 for a <br />total agreement not to exceed $400,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On September 15, 2005, the City Council awarded a contract to Lidgard for <br />real estate appraisal services. Over the past four years Lidgard has <br />completed appraisals for the City of Santa Ana on commercial and <br />residential properties. Lidgard has done an excellent job and completed <br />all assignments in a timely manner. <br />With the recent funding of several intersection widening projects and the <br />upcoming widening of Grand Avenue from First Street to Fourth Street, <br />additional appraisal consulting services will be required. These appraisal <br />services include determining the fair market value for acquisitions of <br />entire properties and portions of properties. In addition, appraisers are <br />needed to determine the value of surplus city-owned land for disposal <br />purposes. An amendment to Lidgard's existing agreement is recommended <br />to continue right of way appraisal services and to meet the project <br />deadlines. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />25A-1 <br />
