3.36. Caltrans <br />Caltrans has completed draft plans for the following state routes: 1, 39, 72, 74, 90, and 142. State <br />Route (SR) 1, locally known as Pacific Coast Highway, is an official state bicycle route with Class II <br />and Class III bicycle facilities and is well used' by cyclists for commuter and recreational trips. <br />State Routes 39, 72, 74, and 142 have no designated bicycle facilities but are sometimes used by <br />cyclists on weekends.
