Santa Ana Adaptive Trafc Signa/ Contro /System <br />High Level Requirements — Public Website and Operator Interface <br />1. The public website shall be available via http access using standard html <br />content. <br />2. The public website interface shall be compatible with all versions of the <br />Microsoft Internet Explorer internet browser higher than release 7.0. <br />3. The website shall present data using a map background covering the desired <br />city map. <br />4. Subject to data availability, web server and network performance limitations, <br />the public website shall provide link occupancy data using colorization of <br />instrumented roadway segments. The data may be updated at a frequency of <br />2 minutes or higher subject to the latency of the communication network. <br />Typical refresh rates for link congestion monitoring and CCTV images are <br />within 5 minutes. <br />5. Travel characteristics information colors will use at least 4 different colors, with <br />gray indicating no data available, green representing free traffic flow, amber <br />representing intermediate travel conditions, and red indicating slow traffic <br />flow. <br />6. The public website shall display DMS message contents. <br />7. The public website shall provide static (video snapshot) images from available <br />CCTV cameras in the system. These images will be shared with SmartNET via <br />a shared ftp folder. When viewed, these images will be updated at the shared <br />folder update rate for each camera. <br />8. The public website shall provide traffic incident data. The TMC software will <br />publish active confirmed incidents to the public website. When incidents are <br />updated or terminated in the TMC software, the same actions will be <br />published to the TMC website. <br />9. The regional map display shall include a checkbox control for each of the <br />CCTV, DIMS, active incident, link congestion, and railroad preemption layers <br />which shall be used to turn on and off the display of each layer individually. <br />10.The public website shall contain hot links (URLs) to other regional websites <br />desired by the City of Santa Ana. <br />11. The public website shall provide traveler information to the designated kiosks <br />within the city. The web session running in kiosks will only be able to access <br />the TIS web site. <br />12. The TIS shall provide cctv images to cable TV (CAN) stations. <br />TEIVENT 4 <br />
