Task 3.2 Study Corridor Redefinition <br />This task will review previous study corridor boundaries and redefine the corridor for the <br />purpose of this study. In general, the study corridor will extend from the City of Santa Ana <br />SARTC station to a terminus station at Harbor Boulevard. As part of the alternatives analysis <br />process, all reasonable alternatives that address the identified mobility problems in the corridor <br />will be considered. The Cordoba team will revisit the study corridor area defined during the Go <br />Local Step 1 work effort to ensure that the defined limits are appropriate to support the technical <br />analyses to be conducted on all identified alternatives during both the alternatives analysis, and <br />the environmental evaluation. The definition of the study corridor will incorporate the <br />identification of key physical elements and travel characteristics of the transportation system <br />that could benefit or be impacted by the proposed project, as well as the requirements of <br />environmental review process as defined by CEQA and NEPA. To the extent that the new <br />study area boundary differs from earlier studies, conclusions and forecasts from these earlier <br />studies will need to be adjusted accordingly. <br />The Cordoba team will, at the end of this task, recommend redefined study area boundaries and <br />study corridors such that a Project Study Area can be established for the Scoping and Definition <br />of Alternatives. <br />Deliverables) - Study Corridor Definition Report <br />Task 3.3 Photography & Field Reviews <br />The Cordoba ceam will conduct and document field reviews to get a better understanding of the <br />corridor. The fieldwork will focus on key issue areas, as well as locations requiring further <br />attention as identified in the initial data collection phase. As a part of these reviews, it will be <br />important to visually document conditions in the corridor including high level and low-level aerial <br />photography. The aerial photography will be provided by the City of Santa Ana for use <br />throughout the study. <br />The Cordoba team will utilize the aerial photography provided by the City in conducting defining <br />and analyzing alternatives, and to prepare presentation boards (30" X 40") showing all the <br />alignments on the same board (or series of boards). Aerial photography will be supported by <br />ground -level photographs obtained by the Cordoba team to document conditions along specific <br />alignments and at proposed station areas. Although the exact number of project alternatives to <br />be carried through for conceptual engineering and urban design analysis are not known at this <br />time, for the purposes of pricing cost proposals, the Cordoba team assumes two (2) different <br />route alignments. <br />Video surveys may also be utilized to visually represent the corridor and the various alignment <br />options so that the elements and issues considered in the AA analysis and subsequent EIS/EIR <br />can be more effectively described to the general public in presentations, on the internet and in <br />written materials. <br />Deliverable(s) - Photographic Images (Still and Video) of the Corridor <br />6 1 rage <br />
