OPERATIONAL AGREEMENT <br />and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oranae <br />I ms Operational Agreement stands as evidence that the Santa Ana Police Department <br />and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County ( BBBSOC) intend to work together <br />toward the mutual goal of reducing gang violence and gang crime in the target area <br />identified as policing grids 86, 87, 106, 107, 126, and 127 in the Southcoast Policing <br />District. This Operational Agreement will be in effect for the life of the grant specifically <br />from 1/1/09 to 12130/10. <br />Both agencies believe that implementation of the Santa Ana Police Athletic and Activities <br />League ( SAPAAL) program as described herein, will further this goal. To this end, each <br />_.agencYAgri-es to participate in the program, if selected for funding by <br />coordinating /providing the following services: ` <br />The SAPAAL project will closely coordinate the following services with the BBBSOC for <br />service provisions through: <br />1. The project staff being readily available to BBBSOC for service provision using: site <br />visits and sharing of information between project staff and BBBSOC <br />2. Regularly scheduled meetings to be held quarterly between Megan Hartman or her <br />designee from BBBSOC located at 14131 Yorba, Santa Ana CA, 714 - 544 -7773 and <br />Director Tom Serafin or his designee of the SAPAAL program located at 60 Civic <br />Center Plaza, Santa Ana CA. 714 - 245 -8050. <br />3. The meetings will be used to discuss strategies, timetables and implementation of <br />mandated services specifically: staffing levels, hours of operation, and evaluation of <br />the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program at Carr Intermediate School. <br />Roles and responsibilities <br />The roles and responsibilities of the Santa Ana Police Department PAAL will be to assist <br />with the implementation of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program at Carr Intermediate <br />School, recommend students to the program, monitor the program, and provide funding <br />for the program during the grant period. <br />The roles and responsibilities of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County will be to <br />implement and support a Big Brothers Big Sisters School -Based program at Carr <br />Intermediate School. The program will begin within a reasonable time frame but no later <br />five (5) months after grant funding. The program will be in effect during the entire grant <br />funding period which ends 12/30/2010. <br />
