She has <br /> personally been the bid/contract administrator for both public and private developments <br /> representing more than $500 million in construction specifications and contract documents <br /> as well as manages their core business of due diligence support providing finished lot cost <br /> estimates. <br /> Since assuming leadership of The Monte Group during the economic recession in 1990, <br /> Knitter has grown the family business from seven employees to 22 and expanded the <br /> fttm's expertise from civil estimating and construction management to include bid <br /> solicitation, negotiations, contract preparation and administration, utility consulting and <br /> coordination, expert wihiess and litigation support, risk assessment, land use permitting <br /> and entitlement, and Consri•uction Reimbursement Support for bath public and private <br /> projects throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. Diversification helped The Monte <br /> Group not only to survive, but to thrive, even in the cyclical real estate and construction <br /> industry. <br /> Knitter has industry connections that nut deep, developed over years of Leadership and <br /> active participation in numerous construction associations, and is the current chair of the <br /> Development Trends and Strategies Conference for the Orange County Building Industry <br /> <br /> Association. She is a regular speaker at universities and industry conferences on the topic <br /> of construction and development management.
