Set Public Hearing For <br /> Tl, j CONTINUED TO <br /> fi <br /> FILE NUMBER <br /> J <br /> ITY MANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> Receive and file the Quarterly Report of Contracts entered into between <br /> October 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009, valued at $25,000 and less. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> On November 7, 2006, the voters approved a Charter Amendment increasing <br /> the authority of the City Manager to enter into contracts and agreements <br /> up to a value of $25,000. Section 421 of the Charter requires the City <br /> Manager to report to the City Council quarterly on the contracts entered <br /> into under his authority for informational purposes. The report is <br /> required to include the names of contractors and the amounts of each <br /> contract. <br /> Exhibit A is a listing of all purchase orders, agreements, and change <br /> notices entered into between October 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 valued <br /> at amounts between $500 and $25,000. Unless included under a blanket <br /> contract, the City as a general rule does not purchase goods or services <br /> valued at under $500 through either a purchase order or an agreement. <br /> Purchase orders and service agreements valued at greater than $25,000 <br /> require approval by the City Council. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br /> 19D-1 <br /> <br />
