Jwf 2-4-10 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010-008 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />STATEWIDE PARK DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY <br />REVITALIZATION PROGRAM GRANT FUNDS UNDER <br />THE SAFE DRINKING WATER QUALITY AND SUPPLY, <br />FLOOD CONTROL, RIVER AND COSTAL PROTECTION <br />BOND ACT OF 2006. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. The State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />responsibility by the Legislature of the State of California for the <br />administration of the Statewide Park Program, setting up necessary <br />procedures governing the Application; and <br />B. Said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and <br />Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of <br />application(s) before submission of said application(s) to the State; and <br />C. The applicant will enter into a contract with the State of California to <br />complete the grant scope project; <br />Section 2. The City Council hereby approves the filing of an application for <br />$4.4 million under the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization <br />Program for Willard Joint Use Site Improvements, and <br />(a) Certifies that said applicant has or will have available, prior to <br />commencement of any work on the project included in this application, the sufficient <br />funds to complete the project; and, <br />(b) Certifies that the applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and <br />maintain the project(s); and, <br />(c) Certifies that the applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the <br />General Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Administration Guide; <br />and, <br />Resolution No. 2010-008 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
