Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> ~ FILE NUMBER <br /> CITY ANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br /> Adopt a resolution that amends the City's basic Classification and Compensation Plan <br /> (Resolution 82-110) to create four part-time job classifications. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The following proposed changes are part of the City's ongoing effort to meet current and <br /> anticipated organizational needs and to provide quality customer service in acost-effective <br /> manner. Staff is requesting the creation of three part-time job classifications titled General <br /> Maintenance Assistant I, II and III. These classifications will perform highly skilled tasks such as <br /> welding, pipe fitting, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and carpentry in the repair of City parks <br /> and facilities. The General Maintenance Assistant II and III classifications will, in addition, have <br /> lead or supervisory responsibility over other part-time staff. <br /> <br /> Additionally, staff is proposing the creation of a part-time job classification titled Public Works <br /> Records Assistant. This classification will perform responsible administrative support, computer <br /> database maintenance, and technical work of a specialized nature in the operation of the public <br /> <br /> works centralized records management system. <br /> 55A-1 <br /> <br />
