Enrique Esparza, Grant Coordinator
Santa Ana Police Department
Homeland Security Division
60 Civic Center Plaza
Santa Ana, CA 92702
Dear Cmdr. Rojas:
•
Enclosed you will find the eligibility documentation required for the FY09 UASI
Grant Program. This letter serves as verification of the eligibility materials that
have not been included because they do not exist.
Property Retention: The City of Los Alamitos does not have a formal "Property
Retention /Property Disposition" policy. The practice, however, is to request City
Council authorization to surplus property when it is no longer of value to the City.
Items are then sent to auction or discarded if they are of no value. A drafted
formal policy was developed in 2008 but has not yet been adopted by City
Council.
Single Audit: The City is not required to perform a single audit because it does
not meet the $500,000 federal assistance minimum threshold for the
requirement.
If you require further verification of the City of Los Alamitos' policies, please feel
free to contact me at (562) 431-2255, extension 410.
Sincerely,
~~P~C~
Cassandra Palmer
Support Services Manager
Los Alamitos Police Department
Enclosures
® RECYCLABLE
