Water Mains or System Repairs: Samples shall be collected by the City <br /> in appropriate sterilized bottles provided by the Consultant to which a chlorine <br /> reducing agent had been properly added. Sampling may consist of two samples <br /> per month and shall be picked up by the Consultant at the City Corporate Yard <br /> Meter Shop within twelve hours of notification. The Consultant shall notify the <br /> City of the results by fax within four hours of the completion of the test. <br /> c. TOTAL CHLORINE RESIDUAL <br /> Samples shall be field analyzed by the Consultant on a weekly basis at the same time and <br /> at the same 50 designated sample points (Table 1). DPD method of analysis and the <br /> reading shall be made by the means of a colorimeter. Color disc is not acceptable. <br /> Results must be reported to 0.1 mg/1. Colorimeter must be calibrated per the <br /> manufacturers requirements. <br /> 4. GENERAL PHYSICAL QUALITY <br /> a. Routine: the Consultant shall collect Samples in appropriate sample <br /> bottles on a monthly basis at the 50 designated sample points (Table 1). The <br /> analysis shall consist of turbidity, odor, color, field pH, and temperature. <br /> b.
