Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> f ` <br /> l~~{~~---~-' FILE NUMBER <br /> CI Y MANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute the attached amendment to <br /> the agreement with Redlands Software Inc. to provide Geographic Information System <br /> programming and technical services to the Public Works Agency in an amount not to exceed <br /> $50,000 subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Public Works Agency continues to expand the Geographic Information System (GIS) and is <br /> working on projects for agencies throughout the City. Programming and technical services are <br /> needed to assist with the implementation of these projects. The work to be done includes assisting <br /> staff with project design and set-up, programming, and technical database support. <br /> The consultant is currently working on redesigning the City's GIS viewer and on translating the <br /> recent base map data received from the County. This work is expected to be completed in fall <br /> 2010; however the existing agreement will be expended before the assigned work is complete. <br /> It is recommended that an amendment to the existing agreement be approved so that the work <br /> can be completed without interruption. <br /> Redlands Software performs specialized programming and consulting services and was <br /> previously selected based on qualifications, past experience and capacity to perform the <br /> required work. Redlands Software has performed well and at this time it is recommended that <br /> <br /> an amendment to the agreement with Redlands Software Inc. be approved for anot-to-exceed <br /> <br /> cost of $ 50,000 for a total agreement amount of $144,000. <br /> 251-1 <br /> <br />
