James Summers, F.S.A., M.A.A.A. — Jim is a Director and Health and Welfare Actuary <br />in the San Diego office. Jim will be the City's lead health and welfare actuary. He <br />coordinates the project workflow for employee benefit actuarial consulting services. Jim's <br />actuarial responsibilities include analysis and pricing of active medical plans, retiree health <br />care plans, retiree postretirement liabilities, and flexible benefits programs. Jim has more <br />than 20 years of experience in employee benefits, managed care actuarial analysis, product <br />design, pricing, and reserving. He is responsible for providing the full range of health and <br />welfare services.
