Project 10717
RFA Change Order No. 1
October 4, 201 O
Page 2
b. Field Condition reveals that Hesperian between Pine and Myrtle has curbs only.
Since there is no gutter plate to match the new pavement with, and in order to
ensure proper drain adjacent to the curb, a proposed flow line was established
and staked. Staking of the flow line revealed that several driveway approaches
will be lower than the pavement. This change order provides for reconstruction
of these driveway approaches after the street is paved.
AGREED PRICE _ $12,758
c. Under a standing agreement, personnel of the County's material testing
laboratory have been providing testing for the City's construction projects for
years. They tested sub-grade soil, base material, asphalt concrete pavement,
etc. However, due to a reduction in work forces, they were no longer able to
provide those tests. The City had a backup testing firm under contract but funds
in that contract were mostly expended by previous phases of the residential
street repair projects. In order to ensure the work be completed according to the
project specifications, City staff requested the contractor to retain the services of
the testing firm and this change order is to reimburse the contractor for the costs
of these services.
AGREED PRICE _ $26,497
?
