Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> ~ ~C FILE NUMBER <br /> CITY M NAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with TriTech <br /> Software Systems for maintenance support to the Fire Department's computer aided dispatch <br /> system in an amount not to exceed $119,867 for a one year period, subject to non-substantive <br /> changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Fire Department's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system was upgraded in September 2006. <br /> TriTech Software Systems is provider of this service, and provides maintenance to their proprietary <br /> hardware, software, and software interfaces. The system provides for the dispatching of <br /> emergency vehicles and the transfer of data to mobile data computers (MDC) located in these <br /> vehicles. Because of the proprietary nature of the equipment and software, the Fire Department is <br /> recommending entering into an agreement with TriTech to provide maintenance to the <br /> department's CAD system. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Funds are available in the FY 2009!10 Fire Department's Information Technology, Other Contract <br /> Services -Professional account (AU/Acct no. 0111534062300) in the amount of $119,867. <br /> APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> Marc Martin Francisco Gutierrez <br /> Fire Chief Executive Director <br /> Fire Department Finance & Management Services Agency <br /> 25B-1 <br /> <br />
