staffing for police services in the Civic Center area, and costs <br />therefor shall be reimbursed to CITY subject to the limitations and <br />conditions as are hereinafter set forth; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD as follows: <br />1. of Ong Levels. <br />CITY agrees to provide staffing levels for police services <br />in the Civic Center area as set forth in this paragraph. Seven (7) <br />Santa Ana police officers will provide visible patrol, including all <br />appropriate law enforcement services, in the Civic Center area five <br />days per week, Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, <br />and all holidays observed by CITY. Such services will be provided <br />between the hours of 0530 and 2330 hours, as set forth below. When <br />any of these seven (7) officers are off work due to paid vacation or <br />paid sick leave, such officer shall not be replaced by another <br />officer. The hours and number of officers working each shift in the <br />Civic Center area are as follows: <br />0530 to 1400 hours - 2 officers <br />0630 to 1500 hours - 1 officer <br />1000 to 1830 hours - 2 officers <br />1500 to X330 hours - 2 officers <br />The foregoing hours may be adjusted by Santa Ana Police <br />Department managers, as necessary to adjust for criminal activity in <br />the Civic Center area. Each of the officers assigned to Civic Center <br />area patrol will undergo training one or two days per year, and on <br />those training days, such officers will not be available to perform <br />patrol services in the Civic Center area.
