The City Council of the City of Santa Ana held a duly noticed public hearing <br />on the above said actions for the Transit Zoning Code Specific Development <br />District SD- on June 7, 2010, and at that time considered all testimony, <br />written and oral. <br />C. General Plan Amendment No, 2010 -01 has been filed with the City of <br />Santa Ana to: <br />A <br />1, Modify the Land Use Element as follows: <br />a. Creation of the Urban Neighborhood Land Use Designation, <br />with an intensity standard ranging from a Floor Area Ratio <br />(FAR) from 0.5 to 1.5, which will allow for a mix of residential <br />uses and housing types. <br />b. Creation of the Transit pillage major development area with <br />a FAIL of 5.0. <br />C. Expansion of the Downtown District Center to a FAR 3.0. <br />d. Expansion of the District Center land use designation to an <br />additional 58,72 acres. <br />e. Elimination of the Residential/Industrial land use designation. <br />f. Update the demographic characteristics, land use} economic <br />and infrastructure to reflect current status of the City. <br />2. Convert the paper General Plan to a digital format and to include a <br />common table of contents and pagination system <br />The Council finds that General Plan Amendment lo. 2010-01 is consistent <br />with the General Plan, including but not limited to its policies and goads of: <br />1. Promote the balance of land uses to address basic community <br />needs. Land Use Element Goal No. 1.0. <br />2. Promote medium density housing in and around the downtown area. <br />Land Use Element Policy 1,1. <br />3. Support high density residential development within the City's District <br />Centers as a part of a mixed use development. Land Use Element <br />Policy 1.2. <br />4. Support "live work" opportunities within specifically defined areas. <br />Lard Use Element Policy 1.6. <br />5.
