Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> `r,'.~-~ <br /> ~~-2~zN-t`` (~~t/'~-{~.--t.---~~ FILE NUMBER <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached amendment to <br /> agreement with iWater, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $189,000. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Water Engineering section continues to work and to upgrade the digital water mapping <br /> system. This digital mapping system enables City maintenance crews and water engineering staff <br /> to respond quickly to emergencies, collect, store, and retrieve data as well as facilitate routine <br /> maintenance on water infrastructure assets. Also, all Public Works users will have access to this <br /> water information via the City's Geographical Information System (GIS). <br /> In May of 2007 the City solicited proposals for digital water mapping services from qualified firms. <br /> (Water Inc. was selected based on qualifications, experience and capacity to accomplish the <br /> required work and an agreement was awarded. <br /> This amendment to the agreement expands the scope of work to include water production and <br /> water quality digital data acquisition and processing, Global Positioning System (GPS) data <br /> collection and processing, professional on-call services and system service support. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br /> 251-1 <br /> <br />
