ĞƉĂƌƚŵĞŶƚ^ƵŵŵĂƌLJ <br />The City Clerk’s Office helps administer efficient government and is the designated local official <br />responsible for the care of official records and documents of the City, maintaining legal and historical <br />records and information, administering the democratic process by conducting local elections, acting <br />as the compliance officer for various federal, state, and local laws, and ensuring transparency to the <br />public. <br />The department’s core functions include: <br />• Preparing the legislative agenda and minutes for City Council Meetings <br />• Acting as the election official when local candidates are elected or local measures are proposed <br />• Maintaining public records and searching for and satisfying requests and inquiries <br />• Keeping the public up to date on Board and Commission vacancies, appointments, and <br />attendance <br />This department contributes to the City’s strategic plan by providing efficient City services through <br />streamlining processes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and policies, and <br />implementing trainings and new programs. <br />ĐĐŽŵƉůŝƐŚŵĞŶƚƐ <br />x Recertification of Net File, the electronic-filing system for Statements of Economic Interest (Form <br />700) and Campaign Disclosure Forms. <br />x Brought approval of City Council and Authority/Agency minutes current from a six-month backlog. <br />x Reduced PRA request response times by two days over prior FY. <br />x Administered and processed over 2,300 Public Record Act requests and over 600 <br />subpoenas/summons/legal documents. <br />x Digitized over 124,000 pages of City records. <br />x Processed over 840 contracts/agreements. <br />146
