ĞƉĂƌƚŵĞŶƚ^ƵŵŵĂƌLJ <br />The Human Resources Department, through strategic partnerships, takes a leadership role by <br />recruiting and developing a talented workforce, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, and <br />delivering highly responsive professional expertise and services using innovative and transparent <br />approaches with professional integrity. <br />The Human Resources Department has five divisions, which provide human resources <br />services across all City Departments, to over ~1, full-time and ~464 part-time employees. <br />The major functions of the Human Resources Department include but are not limited to: <br />- Benefits and Wellness Administration <br />- Classification and Compensation <br />- Employee and Labor Relations <br />- Employee Rideshare Program <br />- Leave (ADA, FMLA, Military, etc.) Administration <br />- Organizational Development and Training <br />- Recruitment and Selection <br />- Risk Management and Workers’ Compensation. <br />ĐĐŽŵƉůŝƐŚŵĞŶƚƐ <br />x Completed successor MOU with POA & an MOU extension with SEIU PTNCS <br />x Created &/or revised 4 citywide policies to foster/promote efficient City services. (Social media, <br />FMLA, Interactive Process, & Cybersecurity.) <br />x Initiated internal Mentoring Program, including leadership speaker series to support succession plans <br />& cross-departmental growth <br />x On track to collect over $150,000 in subrogation claims <br />x Completed citywide salary survey <br />x Expanded training offers to include risk management awareness & financial wellness <br />171
