Ordinance No. NS-XXX <br />Page 24 of 47 <br />involving the use or storage of combustible, explosive, caustic, or <br />otherwise hazardous materials shall comply with all applicable <br />local, State, and Federal safety standards and shall be provided <br />with adequate safety devices against the hazard of fire and <br />explosion, and adequate firefighting and fire suppression <br />equipment in compliance with City of Santa Ana regulations. The <br />burning of waste materials in open fires without written approval <br />of the Fire Department is prohibited. <br /> <br />b. No activities shall be permitted which emit dangerous radioactivity <br />at any point nor shall electrical disturbances which adversely <br />affect the operation of any equipment, other than that of the <br />creator of such disturbances, be allowed. <br /> <br />c. No use, activity or process shall cause electromagnetic <br />interference with normal radio and television reception, or with the <br />function of other electronic equipment beyond the property line of <br />the site in which it is situated. All uses, activities and processes <br />shall comply with applicable Federal Communications <br />Commission regulations. <br /> <br />(11) Liquid and Solid Waste <br /> <br />a. Liquid or solid wastes discharged from the premises shall be <br />properly treated prior to discharge so as not to contaminate or <br />pollute any watercourse or groundwater supply or interfere with <br />bacterial processes in sewage treatment. <br /> <br />b. The disposal or dumping of solid wastes, such as slag, paper and <br />fiber wastes, or other industrial wastes, is prohibited. <br /> <br />c. Wastes shall be handled and stored so as to prevent nuisances, <br />health, safety, and fire hazards, and to facilitate recycling subject <br />to the review and oversight of the Fire Department. Closed <br />containers shall be provided and used for the storage of any <br />materials which by their nature are combustible, volatile, dust, or <br />odor producing or edible or attractive to rodents, vermin, or <br />insects. <br /> <br />(12) Site Maintenance. All industrial land uses shall be maintained in compliance with <br />Chapter 16 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and not constitute public nuisances <br />as defined and addressed by Chapter 17 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code at all <br />times and consistent with project conditions of approval (if applicable). <br /> <br />(13)Truck Parking and Loading <br /> <br />a. All truck parking areas must be on paved surfaces. The parking, <br />loading or unloading of trucks associated with a business on public <br />streets is prohibited. <br />
