<br />Section 5 ‒ The State Application Process | 2024 <br />Application <br />Submission <br />Subrecipients must submit an electronic copy of their <br />completed FMFW to their Grants Analyst for review no later <br />than fourteen calendar days before the final Application <br />due date. After the application is approved, all electronic <br />copies of the FMFW, along with the required documents <br />must be emailed, with original or electronic signatures, by <br />the application due date. During the application process, if <br />it is determined all allocated funds cannot be expended <br />by the end of the period of performance, inform your <br />Grants Analyst as soon as possible. The completed <br />application documents should be received by Cal OES no <br />later than the date provided in the FY 2024 EMPG Timeline, <br />referenced as Attachment B. <br />Late or <br />Incomplete <br />Application <br />Late or incomplete applications may be denied. If an <br />application is incomplete, the Grants Analyst may request <br />additional information. Requests for late submission of <br />applications must be made in writing to the Grants Analyst <br />prior to the application due date. Subaward letters must be signed and the signed <br />copy be returned to Cal OES within 20 calendar days. <br />Once the completed application along with the signed <br />subaward letter is received and approved, reimbursement <br />of eligible subaward expenditures may be requested using <br />the Cal OES FMFW. <br />18
