ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS <br />1. Experience/Qualifications <br />A. Working Wardrobes for a New Start (Working Wardrobes) is a nonprofit organization founded <br />in 1990. For over 35 years, the organization has provided comprehensive workforce <br />development services-including job training, life skills workshops, job placement assistance, <br />and professional wardrobing-to more than 130,000 individuals. The mission of Working <br />Wardrobes is to help people overcome barriers to gainful employment. The organization serves <br />low-income individuals from marginalized communities who are seeking to enter or re-enter the <br />workforce or advance their careers. Special attention is given to working-age youth, persons of <br />color, veterans, seniors, justice-involved individuals, and those who have experienced <br />homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, chronic illness, or long-term <br />unemployment. In 2024, Working Wardrobes reached 7,615 clients. The organization is a <br />recognized leader in workforce development across Southern California, known for its quality, <br />adaptability, and deep community engagement. <br />B. The Working Wardrobes corporate headquarters and Career Success Center are located at <br />2000 E. McFadden Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705, near the intersection of McFadden Ave. and <br />Willia ms St., with convenient access to the CA-55 and CA-5 freeways. <br />C-D. The Career Success Center facility operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 <br />PM. Its central location, easy access via public transportation, ample free parking, and client- <br />centered service layout create a welcoming environment with a secured lobby, friendly front <br />desk attendants, and relatable staff who foster trust and engagement. <br />El-4. For 2025, Working Wardrobes has an operating budget of $7,354,394. The organization <br />employs a team of 40 professionals with expertise in career navigation, job development, and <br />client services. Key leadership includes Bonni Pomush, Chief Executive Officer; Derek Benson, <br />Chief People & Operations Officer; and Bianca Herrera, Director of Client Services. The <br />organization's funding sources include contract and MOU revenue, private grants from <br />corporations and foundations, individual contributions, fundraising events, social enterprise <br />revenue, and in-kind donations. <br />Working Wardrobes has collaborated with WIOA funded programs by referring clients for direct <br />services. The organization is a subcontractor with the City of Santa Ana working with CA4ALL <br />and SAY youth programs, as well as 12 youth-focused community partners to deliver workshops <br />and wardrobing services through select service programming.
