Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Santa Ana Planning Commission,

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed TZC (SD-84) zoning changes and to ask how we
can realistically resolve complex zoning issues in just a few weeks when these challenges have been evolving
since the late 1800s.

Santa Ana’s zoning and land-use history is deeply intertwined with generations of businesses, and residents who
have built their lives and livelihoods here . This dates back to the building of the rail in Logan.

There has been little meaningful engagement with the business community throughout this process.. I urge the
Planning Commission to allow more time for open dialogue, collaborative problem-solving, and transparency in
this process. Rushing these changes without properly addressing long-term concerns will only create greater
instability for the very people who make Santa Ana thrive.

How can we work together to find balanced, sustainable solutions that respect both the city’s growth, the
businesses and residents who call Santa Ana home? We are ready and willing to collaborate.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Richard Chiarini

Planning Commission 1 – 188 3/6/2025
