<br />BEFORE THE SANTA ANA PLANNING
<br />COMMISSION
<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process. We encourage you to
<br />contact us prior to the Public Hearing if
<br />you have any questions.
<br />Planning Commission Action: The
<br />Planning Commission will hold a Public
<br />Hearing to receive public testimony and
<br />will take action on the item described
<br />below. Decision on this matter will be final
<br />unless appealed pursuant to Article V of
<br />Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal
<br />Code within 10 calendar days of the
<br />decision by any interested party or group.
<br />Project Location: 1030 East Fourth
<br />Street located within the Transit Zoning
<br />Code (SD-84) zoning district, within the
<br />Urban Neighborhood (UN-2) subzone.
<br />Project Applicant:Extra Space
<br />Properties 103, LLC (Applicant and
<br />Property Owner).
<br />Proposed Project:Request for approval
<br />of Conditional Use Permit (CUP) No.
<br />2025-12 to allow the expansion of an
<br />existing self-storage facility, including
<br />modifications to the required landscaped
<br />yard standards. The applicant is making
<br />the request pursuant to Sections 41-2007
<br />and 41-650 of the Santa Ana Municipal
<br />Code, which require Planning
<br />Commission review and approval of a
<br />CUP expansion of and existing self-
<br />storage facility and modifications to
<br />regulations set forth for the district in
<br />which the facility is located.
<br />Environmental Impact:Pursuant to the
<br />California Environmental Quality Act
<br />(CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, the
<br />project is exempt from further review
<br />pursuant to Class 32, Section 15332 (In-
<br />Fill Development Projects) of the CEQA
<br />Guidelines. Categorical Exemption ER
<br />No. 2024-22 will be filed for this project.
<br />Meeting Details:This matter will be
<br />heard on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 5:30
<br />p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 22
<br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
