Description: (Describe resource and its major elements. Include design, materials, condition, alterations, size, setting, and boundaries.)

This former fire station is a one story Spanish Colonial Revival building capped by an intersecting hip and gable roof. Red
clay tiles cover the roof and exterior walls are sided with stucco. The façade of the west-facing building is divided into three
bays. Flattened arches define the two northern bays, which once contained fire truck entrances but have now been enclosed
by windows. Topped by the hipped portion of the roof, the south bay projects forward and contains a large keyhole arch
opening. A door, flanking sidelights, and a transom conform to the arched shape. Beneath the shallow overhang of the hip
roof, a decorative frieze bordered by a stringcourse is interrupted in the center by a rectangular window adorned with a
wrought iron grille. Although converted into a community center, the Cypress Fire Station retains its overall integrity and
clearly conveys its former use.

*P3b.
