Flores, Dora
From:
Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2025 2:20 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Parking and Street Closures and Low Sales, oh my!!!
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
City Council,
What is happening in DTSA is a disgrace. Parking costs are through the roof. Guests and employees alike are
outraged. And for what? A new coat of paint? The parking structure don't need a coat of paint, they need to be
well lit and safe for guests and employees. Street closures barricade our businesses from paying
customers. Letting event organizers bring in their own food vendors is a slap in the face of the existing
restauranteurs. The events should SUPPORT the existing businesses, and we should all work together! How
does the city justify the Fiestas Patrias cost of $500K, especially during this tumultuous political climate we are
all suffering from? My work lost almost 75% of our regular weekend business because of Patrias!
When will the city actually support the businesses that are currently here?
Sheila
When we no longer have good cooking in the world, we will have no literature, no high and sharp intelligence, nor
friendly gathering, nor social harmony.
-Marie-Antoine Careme
