Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Board Member,
I am writing in support of La Academia and Albion and to urge the City to prioritize fair access to
soccer fields in Santa Ana for these programs.
La Academia and Albion provide more than just soccer training, they create mentorship, community,
and opportunity for children and families. These programs give kids a safe, positive environment where
they can learn teamwork, discipline, and confidence, while also being guided by coaches who care
deeply about their development both on and off the field.
My son played and continues to play in the OYSL league and now continues his journey with Albion,
where he is able to take advantage of the additional opportunities the club provides to our community.
The children at Albion are the same kids who play in our recreational leagues, but they are also seeking
higher levels of competition close to home.
Ensuring consistent access to fields will allow these programs to continue making a real impact in the
lives of Santa Ana youth. I respectfully ask that you take this into account as you make decisions that
directly affect our community's children and families.
Thank you for your time and for your commitment to serving our community.
Hector Melara
27
