Mayor and Councilmembers, <br /> I urge you to change the proposed Village Santa Ana Specific Plan to remove hotel uses. <br /> Currently, hotels are not allowed on the site, and the proposed project currently does not <br /> include any hotel uses, nor were any specific hotel uses evaluated as part of the <br /> environmental review for the project. However, the proposed plan would allow hotels to be <br /> built by right, without any opportunity for public participation in the future. Most places in the <br /> City do not allow hotels to be approved in this way. The City Council should continue to have <br /> the ability to decide whether hotel development works for the community.
