• Santa Ana Auto Mall Expansion - Crevler BMV11 s new parking structure <br />and showroom are under construction; Honda has taken possession of <br />the former Mr. ,l's property; and the Audi dealership expansion was <br />approved by the Planning Commission in August. <br />The Bowers Museum expansion for new exhibits from the British <br />Museum in London was approved by City Council and is currently <br />under construction. <br />Farmer's Insurance Site - a project of luxury single-family homes by <br />Shea Homes was approved by City Council in November 2005 and is <br />under construction. <br />Artists Village LivelVllork Lofts -Phase III - CarrierlJohnson Architects <br />is designing a new project featuring up to 117 residential units in six <br />stories with subterranean parking. <br />• Santiago Street Lofts - a 108 LivelVllork loft project at Santa Ana <br />Boulevard and Santiago Street, which is currently under construction. <br />Phase I is sold out and sales for Phase Il will begin within the next <br />several months. <br />City Place - an 18-acre mixed-use project at Main Street and Memory <br />Lane. Initial occupancies are expected in mid 2006. <br />Geneva Commons - a luxury high-rise condominium project at <br />MacArthur Place, which has received all City approvals. <br />• Nexus Development - a luxury high-rise and low-rise condominium <br />~ project at MacArthur Place (formerly Hutton Centre), which has <br />received all City approvals. <br />Cordoba - a mixed-use courtyard housing project designed by Motile & <br />polyzoides and approved by City Council. <br />On June 24, 2005, Steve PonTell of the La ,lolla Institute facilitated a <br />City Council Study Session on Development, where Council identified <br />Santa Ana BoulevardlDowntown, North Main StreetlTriangle <br />NeighborhoadlMain Place, and East 1St and 4`~' Street Corridor as <br />priority focus areas for further action. A follow-up discussion to the <br />study session was held in October 2005. <br />Santa Ana Renaissance Specific Plan -Motile & Polyzoides was hired <br />in February 2006. Discovery Workshops are scheduled for April 18, 20, <br />and 21. A Design Charette is scheduled for May 8 through 13, 2006. <br />More information will follow. The public will be noti#ied via various <br />avenues such as: direct mailings, newspapers, web site, COM LINK, <br />and posting notices in public areas. information will be given directly to <br />Council, Commissions, and Boards. <br />Metro East Mixed-Use Overlay Zone -zoning and an EIR are being <br />prepared to analyze residentiallmixed-use development in the study <br />area. A Public Scoping Meeting will be held on March 30, 2006, at the <br />Remington Elementary School. <br />Santa Ana Residential Village by Shea Homes - an 8-acre mixed-use <br />{ project at Fourth Street and Cabrillo Park Drive. <br />.~ <br />CRHC MINUTES 3 March 21, 2006 <br />
